Mobile Home Parks & Manufactured Homes

Fair Housing Napa Valley also offers all of its programs to residents and management staff of Napa County’s dozens of mobile home parks. Fair Housing assistance is available, as are landlord/ tenant and other FHNV services. Besides housing-related services, FHNV was also closely involved with disaster relief and mitigation efforts in the County’s mobile home parks following the South Napa Earthquake in 2014 (more information here).

While most Fair Housing law applies within mobile home parks, laws and ordinances governing the manufactured homes in the State of California are administered by the CA Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). Mobile Home Park regulations and traditional landlord/ tenant law are distinct, and though there are similarities between the two, it is important to note the differences.
